Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach Villa Resort

General Information

What to expect: Occupying former botanical gardens, the resort features tall, dense tropical foliage, lily ponds, and gentle waterfalls that contribute to a tranquil ambience. Mangoes, Jamaican apples, grapefruit, and oranges are free for the picking, as honeymooners and other romantic couples enjoy rest and relaxation as well as group activities. (Guests must be couples at least 18 years of age.)

Amenity highlights: A wooden sunning pier separates two 68.5-meter-long (75-yard-long) beaches, one for watersports and the other for swimming in a cove protected by offshore rocks. A 38.5-by-10.6-meter (75-by-35-foot) main pool features a swim-up bar. Flowering bushes shade a 20-person spa tub. A 10.6-meter-long (35-foot-long) free-form pool contains a volleyball net. Steps lead up from that pool's deck to a 20-person spa tub. A 10.6-meter-long (35-foot-long) oval pool lies concealed by gardens and offers tranquil sunning and swimming.

Insider tip: Diagonally across the street from the hotel's entrance, Pineapple Craft Market comprises little wooden buildings offering local arts and crafts for sale.

While staying at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios you'll discover a veritable Eden of your own, where the air is fragrant with jasmine and the tropical gardens are overflowing. This is a private sanctuary that's not only enchanting but breathtakingly beautiful.

Adjacent to the resort's entrance, a water garden with tall trees, flowering plants, ponds, and gentle rock waterfalls offers a tranquil haven for strolling and sitting.
